Hipobuy Finds by Season: A Month-by-Month Shopping Calendar
Not every month on the hipobuy sheet is the same. Some weeks are great for jackets; others are terrible for shipping. This hipobuy finds calendar walks the year month by month - what is worth buying when, and when to just wait.
January - Clean-out and closeout
After the holiday rush, sellers often have unsold winter inventory. Watch the Jackets and Hoodies/Sweaters tabs for occasional closeout rows. Also a good month for accessories that pair with winter outfits.
February - Chinese New Year, don't ship
This is the one month to actively avoid shipping. Warehouses slow or close around Chinese New Year; air lines run limited schedules; delivery windows blow out. You can keep buying - the warehouse will hold your items - but hold off on shipping until logistics normalise.
March - Spring prep
Logistics recover. Early spring tees and lightweight jackets start appearing. The T-Shirts tab becomes the focus. Good month to batch a spring parcel.
April - Transition pieces
Overshirts, light hoodies, and transition jackets dominate the sheet in April. The capsule wardrobe guide has specific picks that work from April through early summer.
May - Summer kickoff
Short-sleeve volume explodes. Jerseys, graphic tees, bucket hats, and warm-weather footwear are at peak selection. Caps and headwear in general are a strong buy right now - the summer silhouettes are freshly updated.
June - Full summer, best shipping
Shipping lines usually run most smoothly in June. If you have been holding a parcel, this is the month to send it. Prioritise lightweight items for freight efficiency; see the everyday essentials guide for the small items worth batching.
July - Mid-summer plateau
Not much changes on the sheet. Good month to resist buying unless a specific item is on your shortlist. Use this quieter time to clean up your shortlist and plan a bigger August order.
August - Pre-fall preview
Autumn pieces start appearing. Lightweight jackets, mid-weight hoodies, and transitional pants land on the sheet. For sneakers specifically, August is a strong month because fall silhouettes drop early. See the sneaker materials deep dive.
September - Fall anchor pieces
Peak month for buying one strong anchor piece - a quality hoodie or jacket you will wear constantly through fall. Prices are not discounted (no sale pressure yet) but selection is at its best.
October - Pre-winter prep
Winter jackets and heavier knitwear hit the Jackets and Hoodies/Sweaters tabs in meaningful volume. If you need a heavy coat, order in October - November gets congested, December is chaos.
November - Avoid the Black Friday trap
Hipobuy sellers do not run meaningful Black Friday sales; the discounts are usually marketing theatre. Shipping lines, however, get congested because of global parcel volume. Buy if you must, but delay shipping until early December if you can.
December - Holiday caution
Shipping volume is highest. Delivery windows stretch. If you need something by a specific date, order early (first week) and pay for a faster air line. Otherwise, let items sit in the warehouse and ship in mid-January when logistics calm down.
Year-round advice
- Keep a running shortlist. Add items as you spot them; buy on a monthly cadence instead of impulsively. See the FAQ for the mechanics.
- Pay attention to the row position. As covered in the 2026 vs 2025 comparison, the top of each tab is reliability-ordered.
- Rotate categories across the year. Do not buy sneakers four times - buy them twice, and spend the other two parcels on hoodies, accessories or seasonal pieces.
