Hipobuy Spreadsheet FAQ: Honest Answers to First-Time Buyer Questions
If you have landed here, you probably have questions that most hipobuy spreadsheet guide articles do not actually answer. Twenty of the questions new buyers ask most often, answered plainly - no hype, no marketing, no padding.
Basics
1. What is the hipobuy spreadsheet, actually?
A shared document that lists verified hipobuy product links sorted into category tabs. The sheet itself does not sell anything - it points you at hipobuy listings maintained by sellers inside the hipobuy app.
2. Is the sheet free?
Yes. There is no fee to open or use the sheet. You pay sellers for items and the air-shipping line for freight; nothing else.
3. Do I need the hipobuy app?
Yes. The sheet links open the hipobuy app on each product. Install it before you start clicking rows.
4. Can I use it from any country?
The sheet is a browser document - accessible anywhere. Shipping availability depends on hipobuy and the air lines they offer. Most major countries are covered.
Picking items
5. The sheet lists five rows for the same product. Which do I pick?
Middle of the price range, from a seller with the most sales inside hipobuy. The absolute cheapest row is usually the lowest quality; the most expensive is rarely worth the premium. For more detail, the 2026 vs 2025 comparison explains the new row format.
6. What are the tags next to a row?
Usually fabric weight (for tops), embroidery vs print, color options, and sometimes a seller tier marker. The 2026 edition added more of these than 2025 carried.
7. How do I know the item is good?
You do not know for certain until QC photos arrive. Up until then, you have three signals: row position in the tab, number of sales inside hipobuy, and real buyer photos (not the seller's campaign shots).
Sizing
8. Can I use my usual size?
For shoes, no - always measure your foot in cm and match the seller's chart. For tops and bottoms, measure a piece you already own and match that. Label sizes vary too much to trust.
9. What if I am between two sizes?
Message the seller inside hipobuy. Most answer quickly. For streetwear hoodies, buyers who like a relaxed fit usually size up; buyers who want a slim fit size down.
10. Does the sheet tell me which size to pick?
No. The sheet points you at listings; sizing happens in the hipobuy listing itself. The capsule wardrobe guide has specific sizing advice for tops.
Payment and warehouse
11. Does my item ship directly to me?
No. The seller ships to the hipobuy warehouse in China. From there, you decide when to combine items into a parcel and ship internationally. This structure is the whole reason batching saves money.
12. How long can items wait in the warehouse?
A long window - usually weeks. The exact free storage period is set by hipobuy and visible in the app. There is almost always enough time to let several items arrive before shipping.
13. What are the free QC photos?
When your item arrives at the warehouse, hipobuy photographs it for you. This is your actual quality check - zoom in and look carefully.
14. What if the item is defective?
Request a return in the hipobuy app before the parcel ships. The warehouse handles it. Rejecting a bad item at QC is far cheaper than dealing with it after shipping.
Shipping
15. Which shipping line should I pick?
A mid-tier line usually wins. The absolute cheapest line is often slow and poorly insured; the most expensive is rarely worth the premium. The 2026 sheet annotates line performance - use those notes.
16. How much does shipping cost?
Varies by weight, volume, line and destination country. The practical rule: shipping a single light item is terrible value; shipping a mixed parcel of six to ten items is excellent. The everyday essentials guide has specific picks for mixing a parcel efficiently.
17. Will I pay customs?
Depends on your country. Build a buffer into your budget rather than hoping. Smaller, less-expensive parcels attract customs less often than big-ticket ones.
18. How long until it arrives?
Varies by line. Faster lines land in a shorter window; cheaper lines take longer. Most parcels arrive within the quoted window; peak weeks (Chinese holidays, Black Friday) slow things down.
After-sales
19. What if the item does not fit?
If you have approved QC and shipped, your options are limited - this is why QC and sizing matter so much on the front end. Sometimes a reseller or a friend will take it off your hands.
20. Will the sheet keep updating?
Yes. Rows are added and corrected continuously. Big structural refreshes happen roughly once a year; 2026 was the most recent. The seasonal calendar is a good way to pace your orders through the year.
